Samsung puts laughter in the limelight with new-look Comedy Hub

London, UK – 25 November 2021 – Samsung Electronics reveals the new-look version of its owned comedy channel alongside a new name: Comedy Hub. Available exclusively to UK audiences, Comedy Hub offers up a feast of laughter with free access to premium TV shows, binge-worthy sitcoms and blockbuster movies through Samsung TV Plus on channel 4001.

Comedy Hub offers a side-splitting mix of the best shows from across the US and the UK, such as The Exes and Anger Management, as well as featuring exclusive new content from Russell Brand with Our Little Lives: Shakespeare & Me.

Exclusive access to Russell Brand’s latest work

Airing for the first time exclusively on Samsung TV Plus’ Comedy Hub channel is Our Little Lives: Shakespeare & Me. The latest work from award-winning comedian, author and actor Russell Brand breaks new ground with a live theatre performance that delves into Russell’s life through the code of Shakespeare.

Premium movies for free – that’s no joke

Comedy Hub enters the stage with a new roster of content in tow. The channel features a fresh range of iconic Hollywood movies mixed with all-time comedy classics. This includes Kevin Hart and Gillian Jacobs starring in Let Go, to The Maiden Heist, featuring the legendary Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken – and even A Rainy Day in New York, where exciting young star Timothée Chalamet and popular singer Selena Gomez revitalise the rom-com genre.

Richard Jakeman, European Head of Business Development for Samsung, said “Comedy Hub has lit up Samsung TV Plus ever since it launched with some seriously funny shows from both sides of the Atlantic, quickly becoming the top Samsung TV Plus channel in the UK. With this rebrand we’re supercharging the channel, bringing in some great new shows, sitcoms, comedy movies and some top notch stand-up to keep our audience entertained.”

Fresh Content Schedule

The new-look Comedy Hub arrives with a fresh programming schedule. Day-time audiences will be able to sit back and enjoy the hijinks of the newly-single flatmates in The Exes – while the prime time slots will showcase the all-female cast of the irreverent Baroness Von Sketch, Charlie Godson’s (Charlie Sheen) post-baseball struggles in Anger Management and the endlessly entertaining escapades of the peculiar pair of PI’s in Swedish Dicks.
