Winners Of The UK’s Mobile Photography Awards 2024 Revealed in Partnership with Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
LONDON, UK – 2nd April 2024 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd: In an exciting partnership between Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and The British Photography Awards, the winners of the UK’s Mobile Photography Awards 2024 have been revealed.
For the month of February, a free-to-enter competition ran across the UK, inviting those with any mobile device to be in with a chance of winning Samsung tech and to have their work nationally showcased.
In six distinct categories, participants displayed their creative efforts, capturing everyday scenarios, straight from their smartphone of choice. These included Zoom In and Night Scenes, where Samsung Galaxy users in particular could maximise their devices’ incredible zoom and low-light capabilities.
The following entrants were crowned as winners on Saturday 23rd March:
- Pet Category: Ross Paget, Bath Night
- Food & Drink Category: Margaret Jaszowska, Fresh Lemon Juice
- Landscape Category: Hayden Tomlinson, Hiking In The Clouds
- Zoom In Category: Sarah Smith – Queen V
- Night Scene Category: Alexander Howard – The Evening Rush
- Portrait Category: Dotun McAwhy – Two Heads, One Heart
Winning shots included participant Ross Paget’s dog in ‘Bath Night’ which he describes as ‘contemplating the meaning of cleanliness’, captured with a Samsung Galaxy device.
Another standout winning image was Norwich-based photographer Dotun’s ‘Two Heads, One Heart’, showcasing a scene of him and his son lying together, also shot with a Galaxy device.
Each category winner received the title of Mobile Photography Award Champion, a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, and was invited to a special workshop co-hosted by The British Photography Association and Samsung to further hone their skills.
