With an estimated 1.8 million Canadians living with ADHD[1], Samsung Canada is proud to expand its partnership with ADHD experts from the Possibilities Clinic to provide support for individuals living with ADHD. Building on the success from 2023’s inaugural partnership, Samsung and the Possibilities Clinic have implemented functionalities and resources to a new SmartStudy resource hub through SmartThings[2], an inclusive platform for university and college students with ADHD that empowers them with smart solutions to manage everyday tasks.
“At Samsung, we strive to create technology that empowers a better and more inclusive future for all,” stated Jihoon Lee, President and CEO of Samsung Canada. “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with the Possibilities Clinic, so we can work together in providing meaningful support and impactful solutions to university and college students living with ADHD.”
“This collaboration with Samsung aims to showcase how integrated technology can support and inspire students with ADHD, from managing daily school tasks and capturing creative ideas to enhancing quality family time” said Dr. Doron Almagor, Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist and Director of Possibilities Clinic.
In support of the back-to-school season, Samsung’s SmartStudy is a resource hub that welcomes users with a brief survey to identify individual needs, and offers smart technology solutions for how to automate and simplify everyday tasks. The hub features university student and content creator Olivia Lutfallah, where she shares tips and tricks for how she’s managed her ADHD symptoms during her studies. The hub also features music playlist suggestions that boost productivity and focus, to help students get in the zone.
University and college students are encouraged to explore Samsung’s SmartThings app and to use Samsung’s connected technology to improve routines, reduce distractions, enhance creativity, and more[3]. The SmartThings app allows users to easily connect, control, and automate their compatible devices all from one place3. Tasks that can be handled through the SmartThings app include scheduling laundry, turning on the air conditioner and monitoring pets. Users can also make hands-free calls, dim lights for movies, track energy usage, check fitness stats, and more[4].
