Create epic images

Copy and paste from one image to another
Add a missing element to your picture. Just clip an object from an image in Gallery, then go to the image where you want to paste it and choose Paste from clipboard in the More options menu.

Improved Gallery search
The search screen has been redesigned to make it easier to use. Results are now categorized by type, such as people, places, albums, or stories.

Change playback speed
More videos now support changing the playback speed when you edit a video in Gallery. You can make your video play faster or slower in a specific section that you select or for the entire video.

Edit videos on multiple devices
You can now continue your edits on your phone, tablet, or PC. Export your Studio projects to a file that can be opened on other Galaxy devices.

New wallpaper editing features
Decorate your wallpaper however you like. When you select an image to use as your wallpaper, you can now apply frames and effects.

Enhanced data protection in Samsung Cloud
Rest assured that no one can access your data but you, even if there's a data breach. You can turn on end-to-end encryption for data that's synced with Samsung Cloud.

Fast and secure sign-ins with passkeys
Passkeys provide more security for web sign-ins without the need to remember complicated passwords. Use passkeys to sign in to supported websites with biometric authentication in Samsung Internet.



Manage your health

Enhanced exercise experience
Compete against your past running results in Samsung Health to try to beat your previous time. You can also crop exercises after you finish to remove any unnecessary time at the beginning or end.

More options for daily activity targets
You now have more options for setting your daily activity targets in Samsung Health. If a step goal doesn't work for you, you can change to floors climbed or active hours instead.

Improved cycle tracking
When you record your physical symptoms and moods, options you've used frequently in the past will appear at the top of the screen. You can also now set custom moods if the default options don't match how you're feeling.

Google search suggestions in Finder
When you search using Finder, you’ll also get suggested web searches from Google.

More ways to protect your battery
Choose from 3 different protection options to help extend your battery's lifespan. Basic protection keeps your charge between 95% and 100%. Adaptive protection pauses charging while you're asleep and finishes charging just before you wake up. You can also choose to limit the maximum charge to 80% for maximum protection.

Quick panel

New button layout
The quick panel has a new layout that makes it easier to access the features you use most. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth now have their own dedicated buttons at the top of the screen, while visual features, like Dark mode and Eye comfort shield have been moved to the bottom. Other quick settings buttons appear in a customizable area in the middle.

Instantly access the full quick panel
By default, a compact quick panel with notifications appears when you swipe down from the top of the screen. Swiping down again hides notifications and shows the expanded quick panel. If you turn on Quick settings instant access, you can view the expanded quick panel by swiping just once from the right side of the top of the screen. Swiping down from the left side shows notifications.

Quickly access brightness control
The brightness control bar now appears by default in the compact quick panel when you swipe down once from the top of the screen for quicker and easier brightness adjustments.

Improved album art display
While playing music or videos, album art will cover the entire media controller in the notification panel if the app playing the music or video provides album art.

Enhanced layout for notifications
Each notification now appears as a separate card, making it easier to recognize individual notifications.

More vivid notification icons
You can use the same full-color icons that are used for each app on the Home and Apps screens. You can turn this on in Settings.

Sort notifications by time
You can now change your notification settings to sort by time instead of priority so your newest notifications are always on top.

You now have more freedom to move your clock to the position of your choice on the Lock screen.

Simplified icon labels
App icon labels are now limited to a single line for a cleaner and simpler look. "Galaxy" and "Samsung" have been removed from some app names to make them shorter and easier to scan.

Start dragging app icons or widgets on your Home screen with one hand, then use your other hand to navigate to the screen where you want to drop them.



Multitasking

Keep pop-up windows open
Instead of minimizing pop-up windows when you go to the Recents screen, pop-ups will now remain open after you leave the Recents screen so you can continue what you were working on.

New emoji design
Emojis that appear in your messages, social media posts, and elsewhere on your phone have been updated with a fresh new design.



Content sharing

Picture previews
When you share pictures from any app, preview images will appear at the top of the Share panel to give you one more chance to review the pictures before sharing them.



Weather

New Weather widget
The Weather insights widget provides more information about your local weather conditions. You can see when severe thunderstorms, snow, rain, and other events are on the forecast.

More information in Weather app
Information about snowfall, moon phases and times, atmospheric pressure, visibility distance, dew point, and wind direction is now available in the Weather app.

Interactive map view
Swipe to move around the map and tap a location to view the local weather conditions. The map can help you find weather information even if you don’t know the name of the city.

Enhanced illustrations
Illustrations in the Weather widget and app have been enhanced to provide better information about the current weather conditions. Background colors also change depending on the time of the day.



Camera

Simple and intuitive design
The overall layout of the Camera app has been simplified. Quick settings buttons on the preview screen have been redesigned to be easier to understand.

Custom camera widgets
You can add custom camera widgets to your Home screen. You can set each widget to start in a specific shooting mode and save pictures in an album of your choice.

More alignment options for watermarks
You can now choose whether your watermark appears at the top or bottom of your photos.

Scan documents easily
The Scan document feature has been separated from Scene optimizer so you can scan documents even if Scene optimizer is turned off. The new Auto scan lets you scan documents automatically whenever you take a picture of a document. After a document is scanned, you’ll be taken to the edit screen where you can rotate your document to align it the way you want.

Quick access to resolution settings
A resolution button is now available in the quick settings at the top of the screen in Photo and Pro modes so you can quickly change the resolution of photos you take.

Easier video size options
A pop-up now appears when you tap the video size button, making it easier to see all the options and choose the right ones.

Keep your pictures level
When grid lines are turned on in Camera settings, a level line will now appear in the middle of the screen while using the rear camera in all modes except Panorama. The line will move to show whether your picture is level with the ground.

Quality optimization
You can choose between 3 levels of quality optimization for the pictures you take. Choose Maximum to get the highest quality pictures. Choose Minimum to take pictures as quickly as possible. You can also choose Medium to get the best balance of speed and quality.

New Auto FPS settings for videos
Auto FPS can help you record brighter videos in low-light conditions. Auto FPS now has 3 options. You can turn it off, use it for 30 fps videos only, or use it for both 30 fps and 60 fps videos.

Turn off swipe up/down to switch cameras
Swiping up or down to switch between the front and rear cameras is now optional. If you’re concerned about accidental swipes, you can turn this off in Settings.

Apply effects more easily
Filter and face effects now use a dial instead of a slider making it easier to make precise adjustments with just one hand.



Gallery

Quick edits in detail view
While viewing a picture or video, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to go to detail view. This screen now provides quick access to effects and editing features you can immediately apply.

Drag and drop with 2 hands
Touch and hold pictures and videos with one hand, then use your other hand to navigate to the album where you want to drop them.

Save clipped images as stickers
When you clip something from an image, you can easily save it as a sticker that you can use later when editing pictures or videos.

Enhanced story view
While viewing a story, a thumbnail view appears when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. In thumbnail view, you can add or remove pictures and videos from your story.



Photo Editor

Enhanced layout
The new Tools menu makes it easier to find the editing features you need. Straighten and Perspective options have been combined in the Transform menu.

Adjust decorations after saving
You can now make changes to drawings, stickers, and text that you've added to a photo even after saving.

Undo and redo
Don't worry about making mistakes. You can now easily undo or redo transformations, filters, and tones.

Draw on custom stickers
When creating custom stickers, you can now use the drawing tools to make your stickers even more personal and unique.

New text backgrounds and styles
When adding text to a photo, you can choose from several new backgrounds and styles to help you get the perfect look.



Studio (Video Editor)

More powerful video editing
Studio is a new project-based video editor, allowing for more complex and powerful editing. You can access Studio from the Drawer menu in Gallery or add an icon to your Home screen for quicker access.

Timeline layout
Studio lets you view your entire project as a timeline containing multiple video clips. The multi-layered structure lets you add clips, stickers, subtitles, and other objects and adjust their position and length easily.

Save and edit projects
You can also save unfinished movie projects to continue editing them later.



Video Player

Enhanced layout
Video player controls are now easier than ever. Buttons with similar functions have been grouped together, and the Play button has been moved to the center of the screen.

Enhanced playback speed controls
Choose between several video playback speeds between 0.25x and 2.0x. Speed controls are now easier to access with dedicated buttons instead of a slider.



Samsung Health

New look for the Home screen
The Samsung Health Home screen has been completely revamped. More information is shown, while bold fonts and colors make it easier to see the information you need most. Your latest exercise result is shown at the top of the screen, and more feedback is provided about your sleep score as well as your daily goals for steps, activity, water, and food.

Custom water cup sizes
You can now customize the size of cups in the Samsung Health Water tracker to match the size of the cup you usually drink from.



Calendar

Your schedule at a glance
The new schedule view provides your upcoming events, tasks, and reminders all together in chronological order.

View your reminders in Calendar
You can now view and add reminders in the Calendar app without opening the Reminder app.

Move events with 2 hands
In Day or Week view, touch and hold the event you want to move with one hand, then use your other hand to navigate to the day where you want to move it.



Reminder

Refined reminder list view
The main list view has been redesigned. You can manage categories at the top of the screen. Below the categories, your reminders will be shown organized by date. The layout for reminders containing images and web links has also been enhanced.

New reminder categories
The Place category contains reminders that alert you when you're in a specific place, and the No alert category contains reminders that don't provide any alerts.

More options for creating reminders
When sharing content to the Reminder app, you'll get full editing options before your reminder is created. You can also take pictures using the camera when creating a reminder.

Create all-day reminders
You can now create reminders for an entire day and customize the time you want to be alerted about them.



Samsung Internet

Play videos in the background
Keep playing video sound even if you leave the current tab or leave the Internet app.

Enhanced tab list view for large screens
When using Internet on a large screen, such as a tablet in landscape view or Samsung DeX, tab list view will be shown in 2 columns so you can see more information on the screen at the same time.

Move bookmarks and tabs with 2 hands
Touch and hold the bookmark or tab you want to move with one hand, then use your other hand to navigate to the bookmark folder or tab group where you want to move it.



Smart select

Resize and extract text from pinned content
When you pin an image to the screen, you can now resize it or extract text from it.

Magnified view
When selecting an area of the screen, a magnified view will appear so you can start and end your selection at the perfect spot.



Bixby text call

Switch to Bixby during a call
You can switch to Bixby text call at any time, even if the call is already in progress.



Modes and Routines

Change the appearance of your Lock screen
Set up different Lock screens with their own wallpaper and clock style for when you're driving, working, exercising, and more. Try a dark wallpaper for Sleep mode or a calming wallpaper for Relax mode. When you edit the Lock screen for a mode, you’ll see that wallpaper whenever that mode is turned on.

New conditions
You can now start a routine when an app is playing media.

Your routines can now do more than ever before, such as changing your Samsung Keyboard settings.



Smart suggestions

New look and feel
The Smart suggestions widget has been redesigned with a layout that better aligns with other icons on your Home screen.

More customization
You can now adjust transparency and choose between a white or black background. You can also set apps to exclude from suggestions.



Finder

Quick actions for apps
When an app appears in your search results, you can touch and hold the app to get quick access to actions you can perform using the app. For example, if you search for the Calendar app, buttons for adding an event or searching your calendar will appear. App actions will also appear in search results on their own if you search for the name of the action instead of the app.



My Files

Free up storage space
Recommendation cards will appear to help you free up storage space. My Files will recommend deleting unnecessary files, give you tips for setting up cloud storage, and also let you know which apps on your phone are using the most storage space.

Integrated Trash with Gallery and Voice Recorder
My Files, Gallery, and Voice Recorder Trash features have been combined into one. When you open the Trash in My Files, you’ll be able to see files, pictures, videos, and voice recordings you’ve deleted all together, along with options for restoring or permanently deleting.

Copy files with 2 hands
Touch and hold the file you want to copy with one hand, then use your other hand to navigate to the folder where you want to copy it.



Samsung Pass

Safer sign-ins with passkeys
Use passkeys to sign in to supported apps and websites. Unlike passwords, your passkey is only stored on your phone and can't be leaked through a website security breach. Passkeys also protect you from phishing attacks because they only work on the website or app where they were registered.



Settings

Smarter Airplane mode
If you turn on Wi-Fi or Bluetooth while Airplane mode is on, your phone will remember. The next time you use Airplane mode, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth will remain on instead of turning off.

Easier access to battery settings
Battery settings now have their own top-level settings menu so you can easily check your battery usage and manage battery settings.

Block security threats
Get an extra level of protection for your apps and data. Auto Blocker prevents unknown apps from being installed, checks for malware, and blocks malicious commands from being sent to your phone using a USB cable



Accessibility

Vision enhancements easier to find
The Spoken assistance and Visibility enhancements menus have been combined into one Vision enhancements menu for quicker, simpler access.

New magnification options
Customize how your magnification window appears. You can choose full screen, partial screen, or allow switching between the two.

Customize cursor thickness
You can now increase the thickness of the cursor that appears while editing text so that it's easier to see.

It’s easier than ever to share pictures with your family. Gallery will recommend pictures to add to your shared family album by recognizing the faces of family members you select. You get 5 GB of storage for each family member (up to 6 people).

An hourly graph now shows how much precipitation has fallen at different times of the day.

Summary on Weather widget
A brief summary of the current weather conditions now appears on the weather widget to let you know if it's sunny, cloudy, raining, or snowing.

Continue browsing on another device
If you're browsing the web on one Galaxy phone or tablet and later open the Internet app on another Galaxy device signed in to the same Samsung account, a button will appear that lets you open the last webpage you were viewing on the other device.

Improved search
Your searches now include the names of bookmark folders and tab groups. Improved search logic lets you find what you're looking for even if something isn't spelled correctly.

Choose a mode based on what you're doing, such as exercising, working, or relaxing, then choose what you want your phone to do in each situation. For example, turn on Do not disturb when you're relaxing or play music when you're driving.

Bedtime mode is now Sleep mode
Sleep mode lets you automate more actions when it's time for bed, like turning on Dark mode and changing the sound mode.

A simplified layout makes it easier to find routines that are useful for you.

Check running routines quickly

Home screen widgets

Stack widgets on your Home screen
Combine several widgets of the same size into a single widget to save space on your Home screen. Just drag a widget onto another widget to create a stack, then swipe to switch between widgets. You can add more widgets to your stack at any time by dragging and dropping.

Get suggestions on your Home screen
The new Smart suggestions widget knows what you need before you do. It suggests apps to use, people to call, and other useful tips. Suggestions are based on your usage patterns.



Multitasking

Switch your view with a gesture
Switch from full screen to split screen view by swiping upward with two fingers from the bottom of the screen. Switch from full screen to pop-up view by swiping inward with one finger from either corner at the top of the screen. Gestures can be turned on or off in Settings Labs.

Quickly open apps in split screen
Just drag an app from the Recents screen to the side of the screen where you want to open it.



Connected devices

The Connected devices menu has been added to Settings, making it quicker and easier to access features that work with other devices, like Quick Share, and Smart View.

Portrait mode effects are now retained even after cropping or changing filters so you can adjust the background blur at any time.

When you create a new AR Emoji, 15 stickers are created by default giving you more ways to express yourself. If that’s not enough, there are also more AR Emoji stickers available for download so you can always find a sticker to match your emotions.

Do more with AR Emojis
Use transparent backgrounds for AR Emoji stickers, or choose any picture from your Gallery to use as a background for your emoji in AR Emoji Camera. You can also pair up two emojis together and create fun dances and poses.



Samsung Keyboard

New emojis available for emoji pairs
In Samsung Keyboard, more than 80 additional emojis are available for creating an emoji pair. You can now combine emojis based on animals, food, and other objects in addition to facial expressions. Choose the perfect combination to get your feelings across.

Extract text from any image or screen
Extract text using Samsung Keyboard, Internet, Gallery, or whenever you take a screenshot. Paste the result into a message, email, or document instead of typing.

Get suggestions based on text in images
When text appears in an image in Gallery, Camera, or other apps, actions will be recommended based on the text. For example, if you take a picture of a sign with a phone number or web address on it, you can tap to call the number or visit the site.
Text extraction and suggestion features are only supported for English, Korean, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese.



Notifications

Get only the notifications you allow
When you use an app for the first time, you’ll be asked whether you want to receive notifications from it. Feel free to say no to apps that you don’t want to disturb you.

Easier access to app notification controls
Is an app sending you too many notifications? It's easier than ever to block it with reorganized notification settings placing app notification controls at the top. You can also go directly to app notification settings using the button at the bottom of the notification panel.

Choose which types of notifications apps can send
You now have separate control over whether apps can show pop-up notifications, app icon badges, and notifications on the Lock screen. Allow all types, some, or none. It's up to you.

New layout for notifications
App icons are larger, making it easier to see which app sent the notification. Text alignment has also been improved to make notifications easier to read.



Settings

Set a language for each app
Want to use some apps in one language and other apps in another? You can now choose which language will be used for each app in Settings.

Set exceptions for Do not disturb
You can now set individual contacts as exceptions to Do not disturb. Your phone will ring or vibrate when the people you choose call and send messages to you, even when Do not disturb is on. It’s also easier to set apps as exceptions so you get notification alerts from them even when Do not disturb is on. Just choose the apps you want to allow from the new grid.

Improved sound and vibration settings
Menus have been reorganized to make it easier to find the sound and vibration options you need. Set your ringtone and change the volume and vibration settings, all in the same place.

Auto optimization
Device care keeps your phone running smoothly by automatically performing optimizations in the background. To keep your phone in the best condition, you can set your phone to automatically restart when needed.



Security and privacy

Check your phone’s security status at a glance
The new Security dashboard in Settings shows whether your phone has any security issues and helps you fix them quickly.

Prevent accidental sharing of personal information
The share panel will let you know when you attempt to share photos that contain sensitive information, such as credit cards, ID cards, or passports, so you can reconsider whether you really want to share them.

Security and privacy information for websites
An icon will appear in the address bar in Samsung Internet to show a site's security status. Tap the icon to learn which information the website collects and tracks.



Accessibility

More accessibility options in the quick panel
High contrast font, Color inversion, Color adjustment, and Color filter can be added to the quick panel for easier access.

Magnifier is easier to access
Turn on the Magnifier shortcut in Accessibility settings to get quick access to the Magnifier feature. Magnifier uses your phone's camera to enlarge items in the real world so you can take a closer look or make them easier to read.

More spoken assistance
Choose from various types of voice feedback to get help using your phone even if you can't see the screen clearly. You can make your phone read out keyboard input so you can be sure you typed the correct letter, use Bixby Vision to recognize nearby objects and tell you what they are, and turn on audio descriptions that explain what's happening in a video (only for supported videos).

Easily edit your Accessibility button
Tap and hold the Accessibility button to quickly change the features you can access using the button.

New actions available for Corner actions
If you're using a mouse or trackpad, new actions are available when you move the mouse pointer to one of the 4 corners of the screen. You can now click and hold, drag, or drag and drop.



Additional changes

Use several timers at once
You can now start a new timer in the Clock app even if another timer is still running.

More control over calendar event invitees
When you add an event to your Google calendar in the Samsung Calendar app, you can choose whether invitees are allowed to see who else is invited to the event and also choose whether they can invite other people.

Add video conferences to your events
When you create a Google calendar event in the Samsung Calendar app, you can set up a video conference at the same time. Everyone invited to your event will receive the link to the video conference.

Add stickers to your Google calendar
Add stickers to Google calendar events in the Samsung Calendar app to make them easy to see at a glance. Stickers are shown in both calendar and agenda views.

Stay on top of reminders due today
The new Today category shows only reminders due today. You can also check reminders due today at the top of the main screen in the Reminder app.

Show and hide completed reminders
You can show or hide the completed reminders in any category. Show to see what you've already done, or hide to stay focused on things you still need to finish.

Choose the right view for your reminders
Choose the simple view to show more reminders on the screen at once or an expanded view that includes details such as the due date and repeating conditions.

Drag and drop bookmarks between folders
Keep your Samsung Internet bookmarks organized by dragging and dropping them between folders.

More powerful search in My Files
Choose whether to search all files or only files in the current folder. You can also choose between searching only file names or searching information inside of files, such as text in documents or location information in images. When your search is complete, you can sort the results by name, date, size, or file type.

Redesigned Digital Wellbeing
The new dashboard provides clearer usage details and makes it easier to access the features you need, such as app timers and screen time reports.

Get help in an emergency
Quickly press the Side key 5 times to call emergency services even if your phone is in your pocket or you aren't able to talk.

Integrated emergency contact list
Create an emergency contact list that includes the people you want to contact in case of an emergency. The same contact list can be used for emergency features on both your watch and your phone.

When you share pictures and videos with Quick Share, you can include the complete editing history so the receiver can see what's changed or revert back to the original.
Share tips with others
Find something useful in the Tips app? Tap the Share icon to send it to a friend.

More features and improvements
Color palette
Customize your phone with unique colors based on your wallpaper. Your custom color palette now appears in more apps, including apps provided by Google.
Add emojis to your calendar
In addition to stickers, you can now add emojis to a date on your calendar to express your feelings.
Choose apps for text correction in Samsung Keyboard
Choose which apps you want to get automatic text corrections in. Turn it on for writing apps to keep your spelling and grammar in check, and turn it off for texting apps where you want to be less formal.
More widely available keyboard options
Keyboard layouts, input methods, and features for specific languages are now available in more regions, so you can type easily no matter where you are. You can always switch back to your previous layout in Settings.
Customize your sound balance
In Accessibility settings, you can adjust the left/right sound balance for connected devices, such as speakers or headphones, separately from the sound balance for your phone speakers. This allows you to get the perfect balance out of your headphones without affecting how your ringtone and speakers sound.
New actions for Bixby Routines
You can now create routines that change your watch face or turn on advanced settings like Protect battery.
Customize your virtual memory
Choose the size of your phone's virtual memory with RAM Plus in Device care. Go with more to boost performance or less to save storage space.
Game optimizing service
CPU/GPU performance during early stages of gameplay will not be limited. (A performance management feature based on device temperature will be maintained.) The “Alternate game performance management mode” in Game Booster will be provided. 3rd party apps to bypass the Game Optimizing Service will be allowed.

Camera

Enjoy a simpler layout while you take pictures and videos. The scene optimizer button only appears in Photo mode if there’s low light or you’re scanning a document. Portrait and Night mode settings are now tucked away and more intuitive.

Lens and zoom
Lens icons show the magnification level, so you know how much you’re zoomed in.

Video that never misses a moment
Recording starts immediately after you tap the Record button, instead of when you release it, so that you catch those precious moments before they’re gone. In Photo mode, you can touch and hold the Shutter button to start recording a quick video, then drag your finger to the Lock icon to continue recording without holding down the Shutter.

Keep your single takes going
Add 5 seconds of extra time to Single take captures so you don’t miss a moment even if it goes into overtime. It’s also easier to select what you want to capture.

Pro photography
Stay in control with the redesigned Pro and Pro video mode settings. The cleaner look helps you focus on the shot, and the new level indicators added to the grid lines help you keep shots balanced.

Enhanced scanning
Scan documents, then tap the magnifying glass to zoom in and edit them immediately. You can also do more after scanning QR codes, like calling or emailing someone instead of just adding their contact info to your phone.

Portraits for pets
Take beautiful pictures of your furry friends with various portrait effects. Portrait mode now works with cats and dogs on both the front and rear cameras. Some portrait effects can only be applied after you take the picture.


Gallery

Whether you’ve got thousands of pictures and videos or just a few treasured moments, Gallery makes it easier to find what you need and keep your collection organized.

Enhanced stories
See your stories come to life with highlight videos that are created automatically. Just tap the preview at the top of each story to watch. You can also explore where the pictures in your stories were taken in the new Map view.

Easier albums
Sort through albums more easily—even if they’ve got tons of pictures. In fact, you can sort albums by how many pictures and videos they contain so that your favorite and most used albums are always at the top of the list. A cover image also appears at the top of the screen when you view an album to give you a better feel for what the album contains.

Worry-free remastering
Revert remastered pictures to their original versions at any time, even after they’re saved, so you never have to worry about losing the original.

More control over information
Change or remove the date, time, and location of your pictures to correct it or keep it private. You can also select several pictures and edit their information at once.


Photo and video editor

Sometimes your photos and videos need a few tweaks. One UI’s Photo and Video editors are there to make your pictures look their best before you share them.
