Samsung Firmware API for Websites and GSM Services

SamFirm API gives you Samsung firmware build metadata, new build notifications and firmware files as clean JSON. No HTML scraping, no proxy setup, and a stable contract you can build a product on.

Our Samsung firmware database tracks 2,800+ models, 48,000+ model and region pairs and 900,000+ builds, updated as Samsung releases them. Use it as a firmware data API, a firmware tracker or the source for your own firmware downloads.

Samsung Firmware Database in JSON

Latest build per region, full build history per model and region, PDA, CSC and CP versions, Android version, security patch level and release dates. Look up a model by TAC.

New Firmware Alerts by Webhook

Get a signed JSON callback seconds after a new build appears. Filter by the models you care about and keep your site up to date without polling.

Bulk Firmware Download API

Request a build and get a direct download link bound to your server IP. Files use the same download credits as on the site, with larger packs for high volume. A file that is not in storage yet is fetched on request and delivered with a webhook when it is ready.

Build History, CSC and TAC Lookup Endpoints

Latest build for a model

GET /model/{model}/latest returns the newest build for each region, with its CSC code and security patch level.

Build by PDA

GET /build/{pda} returns the full metadata of one build.

Model and region history

GET /model/{model}/{region}/history returns every known build, newest first.

Search

GET /search finds models and builds by name, model code or version string.

TAC lookup

GET /tac/{tac} resolves a TAC to a device model. Only the first 8 IMEI digits are used.

File download request and status

POST /download requests a firmware file and GET /download/{id} returns its status and the direct link when ready.

Who It Is For

Firmware websites and mirrors

Keep your catalog current with the latest Samsung firmware and fill your pages from one source.

GSM service centers and repair shops

Find the right official firmware for a device by model, region and CSC, and see every supported model.

Flashing and repair tool developers

Build firmware selection and download into your tool with a stable API instead of scraping. See also our guides.

Trade-in and IMEI check services

Turn a TAC into a device model and track the security patch level of each build.

How It Works

API key and allowed IPs

Create a key in your account and list the server IPs that may use it.

Quota per billing period

Every response carries a header with your remaining quota, so you always know where you stand.

ETag support

Send the ETag back with your next request. Unchanged data answers with 304 and costs nothing.

Terms

API data is licensed for use in your own service. Bulk resale of the data and publishing a copy of the database are not allowed. Pricing depends on request volume and is sent on request.

Samsung Firmware API FAQ

Is there an API for Samsung firmware?

Yes. SamFirm API returns Samsung firmware build data as JSON, sends webhooks when new builds appear and delivers firmware files through direct download links. It covers every Samsung model and region we track.

How do I get notified about new Samsung firmware?

Register a webhook and choose the models you need. We send a signed JSON callback seconds after a new build is detected, so you do not have to poll for updates.

Can I download Samsung firmware in bulk?

Yes. Request builds with POST /download and read the status with GET /download/{id}. Each build gets a direct link bound to your server IP. Builds that are not in storage yet are fetched on request and announced with a webhook when ready. Larger download packs are available for high volume.

How do I look up a device model by TAC or IMEI?

Call GET /tac/{tac} with the first 8 digits of the IMEI. Only the TAC is used and we do not store IMEIs. The response contains the device model, which you can pass on to the build endpoints.

What data does a build record contain?

PDA, CSC and CP versions, Android version, security patch level, release date, model and region. The history endpoint returns every known build for a model and region, newest first.

How is API usage counted?

Each key has a quota per billing period and every response shows what is left. Requests that answer 304 Not Modified because your ETag still matches are free.

How do I get access?

Send a request through the contact form with your project URL, the data you need and the expected volume. We reply with plans and set up your API key.
